Austria-based job boards Karriere.at, Hokify and Jobs.at have come together to launch a free job platform, UkraineJobs.at, to help refugees apply for work easily and with minimal bureaucracy.
The application forms for vacancies are simple and can be filled out via mobile phone. Jobseekers input their data and submit the forms directly to the potential employer, with the option to send a CV or a telephone number.
Advance registration is not required. The platform is in English, although Ukrainian can also be used for some content, including job titles.
The platform is free to use for both jobseekers and Austrian employers.
“Employment is an existential question for refugee Ukrainians and their families. It can give them a secure perspective in this difficult time. With UkraineJobs.at we offer quick and, above all, unbureaucratic support for those seeking protection on the Austrian labor market,” said Karriere.at CEO Georg Konjovic.
“The need for personnel in Austria is constantly growing. Finding suitable jobs means a clear win-win situation for both qualified refugees and companies,” added Karl Edlbauer, CMO and co-founder of Hokify.
Katja Haack, CEO of Jobs.at, said, “With UkraineJobs.at we are actively addressing the interests of jobseekers and also of the advertising companies. We want to give refugees a fair chance to use their qualifications accordingly.”
Karriere.at, the No.1 recruitment vertical in Austria, say it receives up to 4.9 million visits a month. The owner-managed company has around 200 employees based in Linz and Vienna.
Hokify, the country’s largest mobile job platform, has 35,000 registered companies and more than 750,000 job seekers, mainly in the gastronomy, trade, craft and office sectors, says the company.
Jobs.at describes itself as a “young, rapidly growing performance recruiting portal” that takes a data-driven approach.
More than 160,000 Ukrainian refugees are reported to have entered Austria since the start of the Russian invasion.
