Allegro, the operator of leading b-to-c and c-to-c marketplaces in Poland, has started to cooperate with Carfax to launch vehicle history reports for its used-car listings.

Allegro and Carfax are going to provide private and professional users with various vehicle history-related services. They are to help Allegro users buy used cars with greater confidence, according to a report on Polish news site Wprost.pl.

Carfax has the world’s largest vehicle history database, containing over 32 billion entries for over a billion vehicles. The company has been providing Polish users with information on import status, accidents, speedometer manipulations and damage, as well as other potential vehicle-related hazards since 2019.

Allegro offers used cars both on its main platform Allegro.pl and on its general classified site AllegroLokalnie.pl.

Allegro’s FY2021 revenue was PLN 5.4 billion ($1.3 billion U.S.), up from PLN 4 billion in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA was PLN 2 billion ($480.8 million U.S.), up from PLN 1.8 billion in FY2020.

As of the end of 2021, Allegro had around 13.5 million active buyers on its marketplace, an increase of 3% from 2020.
