Temporary work platform JobAndTalent has appointed Jon Kamaluddin chairman of its board of directors.
“Jon Kamaluddin will play a significant role in shaping JobAndTalent’s ambitious expansion plans and strengthening its presence around the globe,” said the company, announcing the appointment. “He brings invaluable expertise to the board of directors, drawing from his extensive experience in leading b-to-c and b-to-b tech startups to the very top.”
Kamaluddin (LinkedIn profile) worked at online fashion retailer ASOS for nine years, first as finance director and then as international director. He has also served as chairman of Swedish fintech company Klarna and Farmdrop (an online grocer with a focus on local producers), in addition to being a board member at online luxury fashion retailer Farfetch and Peoplevox, which provides cloud-based warehousing and supply-chain management software.
Based in Madrid, JobAndTalent currently has operations in ten countries (Spain, Germany, France, the U.K., Sweden, Portugal, Norway, the U.S., Mexico and Colombia). So far this year, it has made acquisitions in the U.S. (InStaff) and Norway (JobZone).
The company uses artificial intelligence to match individuals to temporary work opportunities in the warehousing, logistics and light industries. According to JobAndTalent, it placed more than 200,000 workers in jobs in more than 2,000 businesses in 2021. Less than a week ago, the company revealed that it had secured $250 million U.S. in debt financing.
