Spanish digital temping agency JobAndTalent has appointed Diego de Haro Ruiz (LinkedIn profile) as CEO of its U.S. operations.

De Haro Ruiz graduated from Madrid Polytechnic University in 2013 with Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in mechanical engineering and also has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to joining JobAndTalent, he worked a senior consultant for McKinsey & Company in Madrid and as chief revenue officer at New York City-based Aon subsidiary CoverWallet, which is an online insurance provider for small businesses.

JobAndTalent uses artificial intelligence to match individuals to temporary work opportunities in the warehousing, logistics and light industries.

According to the company, it placed more than 200,000 people in jobs across more than 2,000 companies during 2021. It entered the U.S. market earlier this year with the acquisition of InStaff from BGSF Inc. for $32.3 million U.S. InStaff is a traditional staffing and recruitment firm that is focused on industry, logistics and call centers. It has 11 locations in seven U.S. states and earned $53 million U.S. in revenue during the first nine months of 2021.

Earlier this month, JobAndTalent secured $250 million U.S. in debt financing from US investment banks Citi and Goldman Sachs, as well as London-based investor AnaCap Financial Partners. In a press release, the company said that this financing would help JobAndTalent “to pursue its ambitious expansion plans to new markets.”
