Germany-based digital automotive dealer Auto1 is under new management. Robert Lasek, MD and VP Germany of the Auto 1 Group, leaves the company after nine years of service. He is succeeded by Denis Belan, director of remarketing at Auto1. The firm announced in a news release that Lasek is leaving the company at his own request.

Belan (LinkedIn profile) will now act both as director of sales and remarketing. He will thus be responsible for the overall sales for the German market. Belan has been with the company since 2015, building up the remarketing business. Jost Dieckhaus, VP of remarketing Europe at Auto 1 Group, explained that with Belan taking over, sales and remarketing will come together more closely to support Auto1’s strategy in improving trade.

Founded by Christian Berterman and Hakan Koc in 2013, Auto1 Group is currently Europe’s largest digital dealer for used cars, and is the parent company of WirkaufendeinAuto, Auto1 and AutoHero services. Headquartered in Berlin, the group reported revenue of €1.6 billion ($1.7 billion U.S.) in Q1 2022.
