In Poland, SpotAWheel, an online-only car dealer that also offers a used-car market for private sellers, has tied up with car inspection company Autotesto.

The cooperation agreement will let SpotAWheel use 250 experts employed by Autotesto to inspect cars at any time and in any place throughout Poland. Until now, SpotAWheel has carried out such inspections in its seven offline facilities.

SpotAWheel, which launched in Poland in 2019, offers carefully selected and inspected used vehicles with a five-year mechanical warranty included in the price. Sellers can request a valuation. Once bought, the vehicle is listed on the SpotAWheel marketplace.

SpotAWheel was founded in Greece in 2016 as a spin-off of SpotMechanic.gr — the first on-the-spot service for used cars in Greece. Parent company AutoSP GOC P.C. wanted to create a transparent market for second-hand cars. In addition to Poland and Greece, SpotAWheel also operates in Romania and Germany.

The company has raised a total of $127.9 million in seven funding rounds, according to Crunchbase. The most recent round from April was led by Adevinta Ventures.
