Grupa Pracuj, the parent company of the No. 1 recruitment vertical in Poland Pracuj.pl and the leading Ukrainian job site Rabota.ua site, has acquired German recruitment tech provider SoftGarden from its owner Investcorp for €118 million ($123.6 million U.S.).
The acquisition will let Grupa Pracuj expand into the DACH region with its offer, which includes also several tech tools supporting recruitment processes based on the SaaS model, Applicant Tracking System eRecruiter.pl, IT job board TheProtocol.it, and blue-collar vertical Dryg.pl. The company also owns programming school Coders Lab and is a minority shareholder at the employee wellbeing platform WorkSmile.
After joining Grupa Pracuj, SoftGarden will remain an independent company. Its business model, offer and principles of cooperation with clients will not change, according to Grupa Pracuj’s news announcing the transaction.
SoftGarden offers software for recruitment management, creating career pages, and generating opinions about employers or employee recommendations. The company also provides a tool for the automated publication of job offers on many job sites as well as the absence management system Absence.io.
The services of SoftGarden are used by 1,700 employers mainly from Germany, but also from the DACH region and several other European countries. The company employs over 140 employees.
Grupa Pracuj’s net profit amounted to PLN 255.7 million ($59.5 million U.S.) in FY2021 – up from 106.9 million in FY2020. In FY2019, the company saw net profit of PLN 128.4 million.
