Cox Automotive Europe announced three new senior appointments to its management team.
Daniel Boakes was promoted to director of dealer development for the company. He will be responsible for nurturing dealership relationships. He will also work closely with customers throughout the remarketing cycle.
Boakes (LinkedIn profile) was promoted from his current position at Cox-owned Manheim, where he spent five years as national buyer services manager. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Motors.co.uk, with his final position being national sales manager with that company.
Victoria Gardner joined the company as new director of NextGear Development at NextGear Capital. Gardner (LinkedIn profile) will be responsible for leading future growth of its specialist vehicle stock-funding business. Gardner has almost 15 years’ experience in vehicle remarketing and joins from fleet vehicle management technology provider Epyx, where she spent the past six years as head of remarketing and head of account management.
Finally, Michael Stewart was appointed as Cox Automotive Europe’s new director of manufacturer and fleet. Stewart (LinkedIn profile) will be in charge of managing Cox Europe’s major OEM and fleet customers and implementing remarketing strategies across the vehicle life cycle. Stewart joined from Copart, where he was automotive sales director for two years. Prior to that, he was director of fleet sales and remarketing at Hyundai Motor UK.
All three new appointees will report directly to Sam Panayides, Cox Automotive Europe’s U.K. sales director.
