British digital motor retail and finance provider iVendi appointed two new vice-presidents for newly created roles to help it achieve its ambition of doubling revenue within three years.
John Cross (LinkedIn profile) becomes VP of engineering. He joins from Iris Software Group where he was development director, tasked with replacing legacy desktop accountancy and payroll software with cloud-based platforms. Cross has over 25 years’ experience in a range of roles across different industries.
“My main aims will be to support our development resource to optimize the delivery of new features to iVendi’s product suite, especially in line with the needs of the new European markets we are entering,” Cross said.
“I’ll also be helping to scale internal teams in line with the company’s plans for growth.”
Dale Reed (LinkedIn profile) becomes VP of product management. Reed has worked in IT for 30 years. Between 2006 and 2014 he was IT director at DMB Group, responsible for data management and systems development.
Since then, he has worked as product development director at Control F1 Ltd, then lead product manager at Intercept IP. His most recent role was senior product manager at Flock, a fully digital insurance company for commercial motor fleets.
“iVendi is quickly expanding both in terms of opportunities and people, and we need a product roadmap that aligns with the business’s vision and strategy alongside good discovery, research and refinement processes,” Reed said.
“Understanding the impact of a new product initiative across dealers, lenders, consumers, and others means we can validate an idea before we write a line of code.”
iVendi COO Richard Tavernor said the new recruits meant that the company now had all senior position filled to be able to drive its ambitious growth plans.
In November, iVendi appointed Darren Sinclair as its first chief commercial officer.
