Candidates are still waiting far too long to learn the outcome of their job applications, according to research by Talent Board.
The non-profit research organization, founded in 2011, whose aim is to improve the candidate experience, has based its finding on the nearly 100,000 responses it has received so far for its ongoing CandE benchmark research program this year.
Almost half of the candidates who have participated to date said they had not heard back after having applied for a job and about one-third were still waiting for news after one or two months.
“If your candidates aren’t qualified for your jobs, let them know within one or two weeks. Nearly all the highest rated companies in our CandE research do that,” urged Kevin Grossman, Talent Board president.
