LaHaus has launched a comparison tool that will allow buyers to more accurately search for properties, in what it is calling a first for Mexico.

LaHaus, a real estate marketplace active in Mexico and Colombia, serves homeowners and investors, and seeks to make the homebuying and selling processes easier.

According to the centrourbano.com website, the new tool lets registered users analyze up to 12 aspects of a property, including price, square footage and location.

LaHaus will use artificial intelligence (AI) to provide users with new recommended properties based on their preferences. The comparison tool will also let users compare up to three properties marked as favorites.

Despite not being considered a priority in the industry, the tool has been used more than 15,000 times, to the surprise of LaHaus, said the company.

According to a study, seven out of ten users felt they were missing an option that would allow them to compare alternatives prior to buying, delaying the purchasing decision.

A further eight out of ten buyers said that they wanted to know the advantages of and differences between the properties they were considering.

Before LaHaus Mexico launched its property comparison tool, wouldbe buyers could take months to make up their minds whether to proceed with a purchase or not, said the company. The new tool has streamlined the process, shortening the decision-making period to just weeks, with a positive impact across the entire value chain of the sector, it added.
