Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have joined with a number of private companies, including Evo, the owner of marketplace Prom and classifieds websites Shafa and Kabanchik, to launch an official marketplace for Ukrainian goods called Made with Bravery. The marketplace’s categories include clothing, footwear, accessories, household goods and packaged food and drink.

This initiative is also supported by the Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Exports and Diia.Business, the national digital documentary project. The purpose is to popularize Ukrainian products abroad and promote exports. State postal service Ukrposhta is responsible for a worldwide delivery.

“At a time of war, the support of Ukrainian companies is extremely important, especially when comes to small and medium businesses. Therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is systematically working to promote Ukrainian products abroad. A new online marketplace for Ukrainian goods with worldwide delivery will help Ukrainian businesses to export and earn money abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will contribute as much as possible to the promotion of this marketplace. I call on Ukrainian manufacturers to use this resource to discover new possibilities,” said Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s minister of foreign affairs.

‘’The Made with Bravery marketplace is a great opportunity to showcase products made by Ukrainian companies. Ukraine has brave entrepreneurs and first-class brands that the whole world should know about. This platform will enable businesses to scale and find new customers. This is about profits, jobs, an opportunity to contribute and keeping the economy of Ukraine stable. In addition, this is an opportunity for people from other countries to learn about Ukraine and support us,” commented Mykhailo Fedorov, vice prime minister and minister of digital transformation in Ukraine.

“Ukrainian producers, specifically clothing, footwear, and accessories designers, have long been recognized worldwide. Celebrities wear their products. However, the creativity, originality and excellent quality of these products is not yet known to the wider public. We want the entire world to fall in love with Ukrainian products and establish the belief that Ukrainian means cool. That’s why we created the Made with Bravery marketplace and why we have strict criteria for merchants in the marketplace.  Our goal is to pleasantly surprise foreign buyers with Ukrainian products and the standard of service in order to make ‘made in Ukraine’ an integral part of their everyday lives,” commented Mykola Paliyenko, co-founder and CEO and of EVO.

The marketplace transfers 5% of the price of each purchased item to United24, a fundraising platform initiated by Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. These funds will then be used in programs for the rebuilding of Ukraine. An additional 5% is transferred to United24 to support and rebuild the country if payment is made with a Visa card.

“Supporting small and medium businesses is one of the global aspirations of Visa. Ukrainian business people heroically continue to work in tough conditions, holding the country’s economy on their shoulders. It is our duty, as big businesses, to create conditions to help them expand. Thanks to the initiative of all partners, this project not only opens international opportunities for Ukrainian producers but also supports the rebuilding of Ukraine,” noted Vira Platonova, senior vice president and regional director of Visa.
