Malaysia-based used-car marketplace MyTukar has opened three new showroom locations in Penang, Melaka and Johor, aiming to strengthen its physical presence and capabilities in the country.

The three new showrooms — which bring the company’s network to 30 outlets nationwide — are in busy, central areas in order to target the highest number of automotive players and give clients easy access to the latest MyTukar certified cars. The sites cover areas from 4,000 to 184,618 sqft and can accommodate up to 500 cars, which have been through a 160-point inspection before being shown and sold as a myTukar certified car.

“The new showrooms cover untapped regional locations and extend our offerings and services to an even wider audience. In line with our rebranding efforts, we are committed to providing our customers with nothing less than excellence and efficiency,” said MyTukar CEO Derrick Eng.

MyTukar was launched in Malaysia in 2018. The site offers to buy and sell vehicles on behalf of consumers via a live bidding system, and also specializes in car-subscription services. The company recently launched a rebranding strategy to align more closely with its parent company, Singapore-based Carro. The new company image, which involves a revised logo and a new orange color identity to follow Carro’s guidelines, replaced the old style used by MyTukar.
