U.K.-based recruitment marketplace CV-Library has acquired programmatic platform Brilliant Jobs. Programmatic advertising uses automated technology and algorithmic tools for media buying, analyzing multiple user signals to ensure that ads serve the right person in the right place at the right time, and Brilliant Jobs uses it to connect candidates with employers.

CV-Library said the acquisition was part of its plan to offer a global programmatic job advertising service across all the markets that it serves. As well as offering traditional job posting products, the company will also offer clients the option to buy, advertise and optimize their job adverts based on performance. This new product will be initially launched in October through CV-Library’s growing U.S. business, Resume-Library, before being rolled out in other markets over the next 12 months.

“This acquisition provides us with the technology to bring a true programmatic solution to the market, with a product mix that suits every hiring model,” said Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library and Resume-Library. CV-Library says it has over US$9 million set aside for acquisitions and platform transformations over the next two years.

Meanwhile, Andrea Olivari (LinkedIn profile) has been appointed global partnerships director.
