Joe Oliveri, a 25-year sales veteran and early employee at, has returned to the company as head of go-to-market strategy and operations.

In a LinkedIn post, Oliveri wrote: “It’s great to come back to where I started my career in online automotive so many years ago. Looking forward to continuing the digital transformation of this wonderful industry.”

A longtime Chicagoan, Oliveri started with Chicago-based as a product specialist in 2000, and made his mark by creating an ad product that connected clients and customers through toll-free phone calls.

Oliveri worked at the company in various capacities for most of the next 18 years, ending his last tenure there as senior director of product.

In 2018, he joined the executive ranks of KAR Global, an automotive wholesaling company also based in the Midwest. He worked there until just recently as VP, product management, UX and enterprise data.

Oliveri assumed his new role at in October, according to his LinkedIn profile.

In a LinkedIn comment welcoming Oliveri back, CEO Alex Vetter, wrote: “So great to have one of the OGs back to help us continue to scale.”

Before Oliveri did two shorter stints at an ad agency and at a market-research company, both Chicago-based.

Oliveri has an MBA from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and a BA in media communications from Northern Illinois University.
