Recruitment marketplace JobKorea is seeking to enhance community participation on its site with six community chat rooms categorized by industry, according to media reports.

The six chat rooms are dedicated to marketing and advertising; the internet; management; design; sales and customer consultation; and production and manufacturing.

In these chat rooms, users can ask questions about jobs and employers and receive advice. Up to 1,000 users can participate in the discussion at any one time.

Since the launch of the marketing room in May, the number of posts has exceeded 64,000. New search and editing functions have recently been added, according to one NewsWatch report.

Jobkorea.co.kr is owned by South Korea-based Job Korea Inc., which also operates part-time job site Albamon.com and GameJob.co.kr, a niche job board focused on the gaming industry, in addition to rectech and offline employment support services.

Backed by Seek Asia, Job Korea’s main rival is recruitment marketplace Saramin.co.kr.
