California-based technology company Pod has closed a $2.5 million funding round for its AtlasJobs HRTech software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, which it will use to grow the product’s client roster in its home market and expand abroad.

AtlasJobs, which was launched in the second quarter of the year, is a recruitment marketplace aimed at young candidates, which the company describes as a “mobile-first interactive job-seeker experience.” Using a “map-centric search mechanism” and AI technology, it serves as a white-label talent engagement and management platform.

“We believe AtlasJobs is a revolutionary technology for a new generation of job-seekers,” said Jo Webber, CEO of Pod. “This funding round will help us further expand our customer base in the United States and expand globally in support of our multinational clients.”

The funding round takes the total sum invested in Pod to $7.5 million.

“We are currently at a 16-year-high in terms of talent shortages in the United States,” said Ira Lubert, managing partner of PACA Ventures, which led the investment round. “We feel the AtlasJobs platform is the right platform at the right time.”
