Singapore-based Carousell Media Group has launched Shopping Ad, a digital ad service that the company maintains will support brands and give users more pertinent ads via a targeted feed that is based on keyword-tracking queries on its marketplaces. Shopping Ad also allows client advertisers to properly boost traffic to their digital stores.
The launch of Shopping Ad comes as the company reaches more than 150 million monthly product searches on its marketplaces, according to JJ Eastwood, managing director of Carousell Media Group.
Carousel Media Group is a one-stop advertising website for Southeast Asia-focused marketplace horizontal Carousell Group (which owns Carousell, Mudah.my, Cho Tot, OneKyat and Ox Street).
Last year, Carousell Group launched automotive vertical Carousell Auto Group, while it January 2022, it unveiled Connect, a “recommerce” programmatic ad-buying tool. The latter provides users with alternative options to access their audiences on a larger scale—including video, display and audio.
