Andrés Caicedo Moncayo has been named chief technology officer (CTO) by Colombia-based real estate marketplace MetroCuadrado.
The appointment follows the $120 million U.S. purchase of MetroCuadrado and CarroYa by Grupo Aval´s ADL Digital Lab, which was officially announced at the beginning of November.
Caicedo Moncayo (LinkedIn profile) had been with ADL Digital Lab since May 2018, initially as solutions architect, working with AVVillas credit cards and serverless architectures as well as on the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure.
A year later he became architecture leader, establishing technical KPIs, measurement mechanisms and compliance with architecture guidelines, leading a team of more than 120 developers and 40 software architects.
In March he became CTO for ADL Digital Lab.
Caicedo Moncayo is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering graduate of Universidad del Cauca, where he also attained a master’s in Telematics Engineering.
He is a Sun Certified Mobile Application Developer and a Sun Certified Programmer SCJP 1.6 as well as an AWS (Amazon Web Services) Certified Developer.
