Auto1 Group, which operates a wholesale platform for used cars, has reorganized its management structure in Iberia (Spain and Portugal), La Tribuna de Automoción reports.
Until now, Auto1 Group Iberia has had joint managing directors, but following the departure of Julio Melguizo in August, his co-managing director Asier García (LinkedIn profile) will now run the enterprise single-handedly.
Asier Garcia, managing director of Auto1 Group Iberia
García joined Auto1 as vice president Spain and Portugal in 2014. Prior to that, he worked at Mainheim España (a joint venture between Spain-based Bergé and U.S.-based Cox Enterprises) for 12 years as operations director, remarketing and de-fleet director and (finally) as remarketing-auctions directors. He has a master’s in law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas and an MBA from IE Business School, both of which are located in Madrid.
As part of this management reshuffle, Jorge Bibián (LinkedIn profile) will become director of sales and operations, while Diego Sevilla (LinkedIn profile) will lead sales and Víctor Oñoro (LinkedIn profile) remarketing.
Based in Berlin, Auto1 operates in more than 30 European countries.
