Automotive emerged as the dominant category on Egypt’s leading horizontal marketplace in 2022, with the auto vertical seeing an average of 12 million monthly visits and more than 300,000 buyers per month.

Real estate took second place in terms of traffic and buying and selling demand, with the property category having received more than 6 million monthly visits on average during the year, OLX Egypt said in a press statement. The year brought renewed user interfaces for desktop and app as well as the introduction of new features and tools, according to the company.

Without specifying numbers, OLX said its other categories, such as goods, electronics, furniture, home appliances, mobile phones, and jobs, also witnessed “high traffic.”

“OLX Egypt has promising plans for 2023 to serve clients by providing them a distinguished experience,” it said. The company will also attract new clients through continuous platform development, it added.
