Smith (LinkedIn profile) joins the company from Auto Trader, where he was client development director and focused on helping customers utilize Auto Trader’s data. Prior to this he spent over 13 years in a variety of sales and remarketing roles with Ford.

In his new role, Smith will be responsible for developing existing relationships with major clients and acquiring and onboarding new, large-scale clients. He will work with manufacturers, fleets, captive finance houses and large retailers to optimize their vehicle remarketing capabilities through the Dealer Auction platform.

“Dealer Auction is growing at pace and attracting a lot of interest from large vendors looking to modernize their remarketing operations,” said Le Etta Pearce, CEO at Dealer Auction.

“With the likes of MG, Nissan, Renault, Mobilize and Hyundai using our open and closed networks to remarket their vehicles faster and more profitably than ever, it’s right we reinforce our capabilities and expertise in this area in preparation for further growth.”
