Alma Media has sold its 79% stake in travel site Rantapallo to the minority owner and the site founder TukTuk Media for an undisclosed amount.

Rantapallo has been operating since 2007 as a site focused on travel content and low-cost last-minute departures. It had revenue of €500,000 ($532,295 U.S.) in 2022.

“In accordance with Alma Consumer’s strategy, we are focusing on digital services in the housing and automotive sectors, comparison services and media. We wish the service all the best in the future,” said Kari Kivelä, the SVP of Alma Consumer, in the company’s news announcing the transaction.

Alma Media’s Consumer segment includes the multi-channel news and lifestyle media Iltalehti, real estate vertical and rental site, the automotive marketplace as well as the housing and car trade systems that serve companies operating in these fields. The segment also houses Alma Media’s comparison services, including Autojerry, Urakkamaailma and Etua. Starting from Q2 of FY2021, Alma Media also reports Nettix’s marketplaces acquired in 2021 as part of its Alma Consumer division.

Alma Media also operates Alma Career, which houses Alma Media’s recruitment businesses in ten countries in Eastern Central Europe. The segment includes recruitment sites,,, CV Online,, and, the Seduo online training service and Prace za rohem.
