Mobile.de, the largest vehicle marketplace in Germany, is planning to once again raise prices for dealer listings in April, automotive magazine KFZ-Betrieb reports.

The platform changed its pricing system for vehicle ads in spring 2022, simultaneously implementing a price hike and a dealer surcharge based on the average value of their inventory.

KFZ-Betrieb maintains that prices will rise by up to 20% on April 1, depending on the advertising volume of each dealer. Dealers with at least 21 vehicles listed on the site will be hardest hit, it adds.

Mobile.de is a subsidiary of Norway-based Adevinta, which operates marketplaces in 14 countries. Mobile.de currently has 1.2 million listings for cars, trucks and motorcycles and 16 million monthly users. It has about 270 employees.
