CoreLogic International CEO Lisa Claes

Global property data and information company CoreLogic has acquired Plezzel, an Australia-based digital marketing automation platform, for an undisclosed sum.

CoreLogic international CEO Lisa Claes said the Plezzel acquisition complements CoreLogic’s existing stable of digital tools for real estate agents and property professionals.

“Plezzel’s tech-driven platform offers agents autonomy and full control of their branding, marketing and communications,” she said in a statement.

“Real estate agents are consistently looking for ways to work smarter, delight their clients and elevate their own market presence. We listened to their needs and understand their unique industry requirements, and that led us to Plezzel.”

CoreLogic is the leading property data and information provider in Australia, although the market has become more fragmented as real estate marketplaces REA Group and Domain each developed their own property data businesses.

More recently, CoreLogic has developed digital tools for agents that extend beyond its traditional data offerings.

Plezzel was founded in 2011 by husband and wife team Greg and Cecille McCutcheon. Both formerly worked with the National Australia Bank — Greg as a business consultant and Cecille as a business analyst.

Plezzel provides digital marketing automation and lead generation tools to help agents manage enquiries and create digital property listings.

Ms McCutcheon said the acquisition will enable Plezzel to develop more products and grow its share of agent customers.

“With CoreLogic’s support, we’re looking forward to developing our innovative products further and working on an even larger scale to service real estate agents nationally and internationally,” she said.

“The entire Plezzel team is excited about what this new phase means for the growth and expansion of what we’ve all worked so hard to build.”
