As part of a broader management reshuffle, StepStone has appointed Sam McIlveen (LinkedIn profile) managing director (MD) of its operations in Ireland, according to a statement issued by the company.
Berlin-based StepStone is owned by media company Axel Springer. Apart from IrishJobs.ie, StepStone Ireland also owns Jobs.ie and NIJobs.com (the latter site covers Northern Ireland). McIlveen was previously general manager of NIJobs.
McIlveen has been at StepStone for almost a decade. Prior to that, he worked in advertising (as a senior media planner for McCann Erickson Belfast and as client services/media director at AV Browne Group) and in online media (as a digital publisher at Independent News and Media). He has a degree in structural engineering from the university of Bath.

McIlveen replaces Orla Moran (LinkedIn profile) , who was general manager of IrishJobs.ie., and Christopher Paye (LinkedIn profile), former general manager of Jobs.ie.
Moran has been promoted to the position of StepStone Atlantic Markets, which will see her oversee teams in Ireland, South Africa, Central America and the Caribbean. She had worked at Irish Jobs for almost a quarter of a century, beginning as an account manager in 1999.

Paye will take up the newly created position of revenue director at StepStone in Ireland.
