Niche marketplace Whoppah.com has appointed Sebastiaan Smits as marketing director.

Smits announced his new position in a LinkedIn post.
With a master’s degree in innovation and management, Smits (LinkedIn profile) has more than 10 years of experience working with b-to-c and b-to-b tech startups.
He held a similar marketing director role at OrderChamp, a digital marketplace for wholesale products, where he was promoted from head of growth and marketing. Prior to joining OrderChamp, he was self-employed and founded growth and marketing businesses.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Whoppah is a marketplace for buying and selling curated designer pieces, vintage items, art and antiques.
The marketplace recorded $21.2 million in turnover in 2022.
