Jessica Peppel-Schulz (above) will take over as CEO of Tamedia, a subsidiary of Switzerland-based media company TX Group, on 1 Oct. as part of a long-term succession plan.

Andreas Schaffner, the current managing director, will continue to work for the company, albeit with a reduced workload. He will focus on printing plants and logistics, according to a press release.

Peppel-Schulz was most recently CEO of media company Condé Nast Germany, which is headquartered in Munich. The company publishes well-known lifestyle and fashion magazines “Vogue” and “GQ,” among others. According to Tamedia’s press release, Peppel-Schulz advanced the digital transformation of the traditionally print-heavy media company.

Peppel-Schulz began her career at telecommunications group Hansenet/AOL in 2001. She has a degree in economics from the University of Hamburg.
