Singapore-based PropertyGuru Group, which operates real estate marketplaces in Southeast Asia, has appointed Helen Snowball as chief people officer (CPO).

In her new role, Snowball (LinkedIn profile) will lead the people and culture function, managing the HR division and supporting the company’s next growing steps in the region with a focus on employee experience and talent management.

Snowball will be part of the group leadership team and will report to the CEO and managing director, Hari V. Krishnan, who praised the new chief people officer’s “solid experience in leading successful transformations within people and culture organizations and driving digital employee experiences.”

The new CPO brings to her role 20 years of experience in human resources, sales and commercials through stints at such companies as Jones Lang LaSalle in Singapore, where she was global head of people solutions and experience, and Coca-Cola Amatil in Australia, as head of HR sales and marketing.

A third of PropertyGuru’s board is now made up of female directors, with 65% of the total workforce female, and over 30 nationalities featured — a sign that the company is embracing equity and inclusion in its next phase of development, it says.

“We are in PG3 — the third phase of our evolution as an organization — guided by our vision to power communities to live, work and thrive in tomorrow’s cities. Helen’s skillset and energy will be essential as we continue to invest in our talent,” added Krishnan.
