An AI tool for generating CVs has been launched by Malaysia-based start-up Krenovator.
Using a four-step process, the company says that CV Maker reduces language errors and presents CVs in the format that is used by top recruiters worldwide.
These CVs are also compatible with the applicant tracking systems (ATSs) that are used to filter resumes, it adds.
Krenovator’s CV tools are aimed at remote workers in the tech industry, according to the company website.
Krenovator CEO Mahadhir Yunus said: “Creating a CV that captures the attention of hiring managers is a common challenge faced by many tech talents. Our recognition of this situation has motivated us to add the AI-powered CV Maker to our platform, which creates ATS-compliant CVs.”
Founded in 2019 and launched in late 2022, Krenovator is based in the Malaysian state of Selangor.
Its software is used by around 3,000 tech workers in Malaysia and Indonesia, according to the company.
It maintains that it has helped some 200 people to land tech jobs with employers from Malaysia, Singapore and the U.K.
The company says it can reduce hiring time by up to 80%, with job offers made in around two weeks.
“We do this by tapping into our community of over 1,000 remote developers that we have built in Southeast Asia,” the company states.
Meanwhile, on May 18, Malaysia’s economy minister Rafizi Ramli announced that the government was working on streamlining the country’s startup ecosystem. He said entrepreneurs would soon have their applications processed and approved via a single agency, rather than having to deal with multiple government departments. Rafizi said he would announce a plan in August.
