OLX-Brazil, Brazil’s No. 1 horizontal by traffic, has announced it is to appoint Olivier Aizac as CEO, according to a LinkedIn post.

Aizac, a former senior vice-president at Schibsted Media Group — the parent company of Adevinta — which owns 50% of OLX-Brazil, will assume his new role on 1st June.

Aizac was the CEO of France-based horizontal LeBonCoin for about nine years and a senior vice president at Schibsted in France and Brazil for a total of six-and-a-half years.

More recently, he was the CEO of Webedia in Brazil, CEO at Holu Solar and a board member at Otovo.

“He [Aizac] is an experienced professional in marketplaces around the world. I am fully confident that he will continue OLX’s success and carry forward our culture of innovation, commitment and passion,” said Andries Oudshoorn, the current CEO of OLX-Brazil.

OLX-Brazil said Oudshoorn would continue to advise and strategically support Aizac after the latter had assumed the leadership position.

Oudshoorn has been the CEO of OLX-Brazil for more than eight years. He was also a senior vice-president Latin America and Asia for Schibsted Classified Media and the founder and CEO of BomNegócio, which merged with OLX-Brazil in 2015.
