Dublin-headquartered rectech startup RecruitRoo has closed a €1.0 million ($1.1 million U.S.) funding round, website Tech.eu reports.

The round was led by Delta Partners, with Enterprise Ireland — an Irish government agency responsible for supporting domestic businesses in manufacturing and internationally traded services — among the other participants.

Founded in April 2022 by Shane Kiernan (LinkedIn profile) and Stephen MacCarthy (LinkedIn profile), RecruitRoo is a recruitment and migration platform that aims to simplify the global hiring process for companies in Ireland and the U.K. by removing unnecessary barriers, thus giving companies access to talent worldwide.

“The labour shortages experienced in Ireland and across Europe and the U.S. are a major contributor to challenges in the economy … We believe in RecruitRoo’s innovative approach will have a major impact on the challenges,” said Dermot Berkery, general partner at Delta Partners.

Meanwhile, Andreea Wade (LinkedIn profile) has joined RecruitRoo as board chair. Opening.io, a recruitment company founded by Wade, was acquired by ICIMS in 2020, and she is currently VP of product strategy at ICIMS.

“This investment, plus the addition of Andreea, marks a significant milestone for RecruitRoo as we strive to transform the international hiring landscape. We are committed to empowering businesses to access top global talent seamlessly while ensuring compliance and simplifying the overall international recruitment process,” said Kiernan.
