Florian Baur (above) has been appointed chief sales officer of Adevinta subsidiary Mobile.de on an interim basis after the resignation of CFO Daniel Breves.

Baur has been director of mobility strategy and commercialization at Norway-based Adevinta since January this year — having joined the company in September 2021 — and will retain this position.

“I’m very excited to embark on this journey, taking on additional leadership responsibility for Adevinta on its ambitious growth path,” he said in a LinkedIn post.

For the past two years, Baur has been in charge of strategy for Adevinta’s European marketplaces in the mobility sector. Prior to joining Adevinta, he worked in product management and sales at auto manufacturer BMW and electric car startup Byton.

Baur has a MBA from Insead and a BA in corporate management and economics from Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen.

“I’ve been using Mobile.de myself for over 20 years. That’s why I’m thrilled to be able to actively help shape the future of the company,” he added.

According to Baur, he aims to “further advance Mobile.de as part of Adevinta’s Europe-wide mobility strategy.”

Baur’s predecessor, Daniel Breves, who had been in the company for nine years, left the position to “take on entrepreneurial responsibility in another industry,” Kfz-Betrieb reports.
