Germany-based mobility service provider Sixt has acquired Latvia-based car subscription platform Renti Plus from Elevin Group for an undisclosed sum, Labs of Latvia reports.

Renti Plus offers a comprehensive car subscription service for prices ranging between €300 and €700 (between $334 and $779 U.S.) per month. The company was a direct competitor to Sixt, which offers long-term car rentals via its Sixt+ sub-brand.

With this acquisition, Sixt takes over a fleet of more than 100 vehicles from Renti Plus. Contract terms will be unchanged for existing customers.

“We are always looking at new opportunities to expand the availability of the Sixt+ service and improve the customer experience. By taking over the car subscription service started by Renti Plus and building on our company’s vast experience in the market, both existing and future customers will gain access to even more mobility options,” commented Arnis Jaudzems, general manager of Sixt in the Baltic region.

Sixt employs around 7,500 employees worldwide and offers more than 270,000 vehicles via renting, subscription and sharing.
