Smartphone resale marketplace has grown 12 times during the last eight months, while selling 20,000 refurbished mobile phones since its inception in November 2018, reports Webrazzi.

Founded as a phone repair and sales business, Istanbul-based GetMobil has sharpened its focus on buying of used-smartphone from users, refurbishing and reselling them with 12-month warranty to become an omnichannel secondhand smartphone marketplace.

GetMobil has so far purchased more than ₺200 million ($7.4 million U.S.) worth of secondhand smartphones. Currently, it has 120 team members.

GetMobil aims to enhance its monthly renewal capacity to 20,000 smartphones and increase the number of physical trading points to 100 from 40 in two years, according to Webrazzi.

Refurbished phone market is thriving in Turkey and attracting entrepreneurs to tap into the market potential.

GetMobil had snagged $1.5 million in seed investment a couple of months after its rival EasyCep raised $11 million in Series A funding at $100 million valuation in March 2022.
