U.K.-based Auto Trader has launched an electric vehicle hub on its website to help dealers monitor the electric vehicle (EV) market.
The hub will feature pricing data for used EVs and show how quickly they are selling. It will also indicate supply and demand levels for both new and used EVs.
It will also provide dealers with such resources as webinars, selling and stocking guides, its Retailer Performance Masterclasses modules and interviews with industry experts.
“The electric market is still an immature one, which means it’s not only prone to volatility and nuance but can also be challenging to navigate,” said Auto Trader commercial director Ian Plummer.
“And with the continuing de-fleeting of circa 750,000 EVs sold over the last three years, as well as the ongoing push from manufacturers to achieve their ZEV [zero emissions vehicle] mandates, the market’s only set to increase.”
“By providing a selection of our high-level data and insights, we hope the Hub will identify the very strong pockets of profit potential, as used EV demand continues its upward trajectory and prices stabilise.”
In August, Auto Trader added e-bike listings to its marketplace.
