Bengaluru-headquartered proptech startup Crib has achieved a milestone of 1,000 clients, including traditional hostels and co-living facilities.

Founded in 2022 by Shaifali Jain, Sunny Garg and Archit Chauhan, Crib offers tenants a search-and-discovery platform and landlords a dedicated app for tenant onboarding, staff management, handling complaints, payment collection, inventory management and related services. It has a presence in about 20 Indian cities and covers 1,500 properties.

“In the last 15 months, we have acquired more than 1,000 clients with an aggregate capacity of over 150,000 beds across major cities,” said Crib CEO Sunny Garg, quoted by Money Control. “Our journey began with a vision to simplify and enhance the rental housing experience for landlords and tenants. We hope to close this financial year with an annual recurring revenue of about INR65 million from our SaaS offerings.”

In June, Crib raised INR150 million ($1.8 million U.S.) in a seed funding round led by WeFounderCircle, a network of startup founders, and Rebright Partners. This followed a $400,000 pre-seed round in January 2022. Following the funding, Crib expressed its intention to scale its client and project portfolio.
