HeadHunter.ru, a leading Russia-based jobs board has entered into a cooperation agreement with the city of Kazan to help develop its labor market, improve its attractiveness to investment and automate the recruitment process, according to a press release from the mayor’s office.

Kazan is the first city in Russia to sign such an agreement with HeadHunter. In 2022, HeadHunter ranked Kazan City Hall among the top 20 employers in Russia in terms of its HR processes.

Over the past 18 months, Kazan City Hall has introduced digital services for recruiting personnel for city organizations and launched tools for onboarding new employees, in addition to organizing training, internships and exchange programs.

The Mayor’s office said its policies have increased the number of young applicants, reduced selection time for vacancies from 30 to ten days and cut the rate of staff turnover in the first year of work.

This partnership will extend beyond the public sector, with the goal of promoting Kazan as one of the most attractive cities in the country in terms of both living and working.

HeadHunter is the leading recruitment website in Russia and the wider Commonwealth of Independent States.

Kazan is the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, a constituent autonomous entity of the Russian Federation and the fifth largest city in Russia, with a population of 1.3 million.
