This follows an initial agreement struck during the pandemic, the goal of which was to ship orders to LeBonCoin users to pick-up points nationwide in two-four working days.
“From the largest online flea market in France, LeBonCoin has today become a leader in e-commerce. Partnering with a major delivery player like Chronopost was obviously the logical continuation of our transformation, which aims to facilitate access to the circular economy, with the positive impact that it has on purchasing power and the environment,” according to LeBonCoin managing director Amandine de Souza.
Chronopost is the leader for deliveries under 30kg in France. In 2020, it introduced the Shop2Shop program specifically for secondhand goods. It has12 hubs and more than 17,000 merchant relays, including 1,300 lockers via partner Pickup. According to the company, low-emission vehicles deliver up to 25% of its packages nationwide and all of them in Paris.
“We are delighted with the signing of this partnership. Putting our network and our expertise at the service of the circular economy makes sense for us. Working to develop more responsible alternatives throughout France is another step in Chronopost’s commitment to reducing its environmental footprint,” said Chronopost president Benoît Frette.
According to LeBonCoin, it currently has 28 million users and 68 millions listings. In 2022, it handled over 111 million transactions across all of its verticals, the company added.
SimilarWeb data states that LeBonCoin had 12 million visits in September.
