Singapore-based used car marketplace Carro has partnered with regional automotive player Jardine Cycle&Carriage (JC&C) to launch Carro Care in Singapore and Malaysia. Carro operates auto marketplace MyTukar in the latter country.

JC&C is a subsidiary of Jardine Matheson Group, and the two companies intend to invest $60 million U.S. in their strategic partnership, which aims to combine Carro’s technology with JC&C’s experience in the industry.

“Customers are looking for honesty, quality and transparency in vehicle after-sales services — be it for regular upkeep or urgent fixes. We are confident that Carro Care will provide customers with that and more, including tech-driven convenience and unparalleled top-notch service at a far more accessible price,” said recently appointed Carro Care CEO SV Balasubramanian.

“Through this partnership with JC&C, we are confident we can stay ahead of the game and continue to strengthen and add value to the end-to-end car ownership process for our customers,” commented Carro co-founder and CEO Aaron Tan.

In the three months to June 2023, Carro recorded EBITDA of $11 million.
