Amanda Maireles, head of people at Factorial

Spain-based HRtech startup Factorial has appointed Amanda Maireles as head of people, website RRHH Digital reports.

Maireles (LinkedIn profile) joined Factorial, a provider of recruitment software, in December 2022 as engagement manager and was promoted to the position of employee experience manager in April this year.

Prior to joining Factorial, she worked on the integration and operation of an integrated management system at retailer Würth España. She has also worked for Danone, Ricoh and DSV, amongst others.

Maireles has a master’s degree in integrated quality, safety and environmental management from the University of Barcelona.

Factorial’s headcount has tripled in the past year, and, Maireles said her task in her position would be to “identify the strengths and aspirations of the people in our teams and establish an appropriate growth plan.”

“Companies today have the responsibility to accompany their teams, offering them the path that allows them to be the best version of themselves.”

“We want Factorial to be a unique opportunity for people who work with us, where they can meet and develop their aspirations.”

Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Barcelona, Factorial also has offices in Sao Paulo, Miami and Mexico City.

In October 2022, the company raised $120 million in a series C funding round, which Factorial said valued it at $1.0 billion.

Earlier this month, the company made its first acquisition — Fuell, an expense-management startup. In June this year, it launched Factorial AI, a generative AI tool that automates CV screening.
