Spain-based Webel, a marketplace for personal services that raised €2.1 million ($2.3 million U.S.) in a seed funding round last month, has launched in Valencia — the third-largest city in the country — according to a LinkedIn post from company co-founder and CEO Nacho Tejero (LinkedIn profile).
Founded in 2018, the Madrid-headquartered company already operates in Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza, and the post added that it was planning to commence operations in the Andalucian cities of Seville and Malaga in the south of the country in the near future.
The services offered on Webel’s website and app include household cleaning, tutoring, personal training, sports coaching, music and dance lessons, hairdressing, manicures, dog walking and physiotherapy, as well as child and elder care.
According to the company, it has grown 10x annually for two consecutive years and is aiming to expand to the U.K. and Italy in the longer term.
