Info Edge India Ltd. — the parent company of job board Naukri and property portal 99Acres — has appointed Bhupinder Singh as executive vice president of data science.

In a LinkedIn post, Dr. Jatin Thukral, head of data science at Info Edge, welcomed Singh (LinkedIn profile) to the company.
“I’m really excited to be part of the Info Edge family and looking forward to scaling the AI initiatives for the 99Acres vertical at a time when the Indian real estate industry is poised for growth,” said Singh.
Before joining Info Edge, Singh was vice president of data science at Junglee Games, leading the analytics, AI, and data engineering teams and responsible for the overall data strategy. During a career of more than 20 years, Singh has also held strategic roles at such companies as Gartner, TCS, GE and Alstom.
He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Sardar Patel University in Gujarat and a doctorate in mechanical and aerospace from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Singh also has certification from the Indian Institute of Management — Bengaluru.
Info Edge has more than 4,500 employees in 66 offices across 45 cities in India and the Middle East and posted revenue of INR6.5 billion ($78.8 million U.S.) for the three months ending September 2023 (Q2 FY23-24).
