Roswitha Brunner (above) has been appointed head of external communications at SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, a JV founded in 2021 by TX Group, Ringier, Mobiliar and General Atlantic. She is responsible for SMG’s group-wide external communications and public affairs and acts as the group’s media spokesperson.
Prior to joining SMG, Brunner was head of corporate communications at Zurich-based proptech startup PriceHubble, which specializes in data-based real estate valuation and location analysis using AI.
Prior to PriceHubble, Brunner worked for six years in corporate communications for Amag — the largest mobility provider in Switzerland — most recently as head of Group PR & CSR. She also had an almost six year stint at Zurich-based communications agency Rutz & Partner — working in the areas of political and economic communications and strategy consulting — as well as six years in public affairs at UBS, the largest private bank in Switzerland.
In a press release, Jessica List, chief corporate officer of SMG commented that Brunner’s industry experience in the real estate, automotive and finance sectors covers almost all of SMG’s business units: ImmoScout24, HomeGate, ImmoStreet.ch, Home.ch, Publimmo, Acheter-Louer.ch, AutoScout24, MotoScout24, Car For You, Anibis.ch, Tutti.ch, Ricardo and FinanceScout24.
SMG CEO Christoph Tonini added that Brunner would be tasked with strategically developing SMG’s external communications in the political, media and public spheres.
