Spain-based Pisos.com has launched a tool that enables users to find out how many hours of natural light a property receives daily. Currently available for new-build property, this tool will be extended to existing homes in the near future, according to the company.

“It is more than proven that the amount of natural light that enters a home has a direct influence on people’s mood. For this reason, and in response to a series of commercial requests that we have been receiving, we have decided to incorporate this tool, which benefits not only users, but also developers, who consider it a differential value, and sales representatives, who see it as another sales argument,” said product manager Miquel Pastor.

He described it as “a very useful tool to take advantage of the hours of sunshine at home, reducing energy consumption and artificial light. It is also very interesting for people who are thinking of installing solar panels and want to get the most out of it.”

“We wanted to provide something linked to the location map of the ad that had a component of interaction and gamification.”

Owned by Madrid-headquartered media company Grupo Vocento, Pisos.com is the third-largest real estate marketplace in Spain — behind market leader Idealista and Adevinta Spain’s Fotocasa.

Revenue at Spain-based Habitsoft SL, which operates Pisos.com, rose by 9.0% year on year to €11.5 million ($12.5 million U.S. ) in 2022.
