Auto fintech service Bovemij has made its auto vertical ViaBovag.nl as an independently operating entity to sharpen focus of both on their core expertise.

Netherlands-based Bovemij said it would focus on insurance (Bovemij and ENRA), guarantees (AutoTrust) and mobility data specialist RDC and will “stop managing and financing leasing activities by car companies.”

ViaBovag.nl, an initiative of trade association BOVAG, buys and sells new and used cars. It accepts used cars only from affiliated companies of BOVAG, representing more than 8,000 entrepreneurs. However, it offers trad-in options.

From next year Bovemij will phase out its financing and management activities for car leasing companies, it said in a news release.

“ViaBovag.nl will operate independently so that it is more agile and can therefore respond more quickly to new developments and the wishes of both consumers and mobility companies.”

The auto site currently lists around 94,000 cars, less than half of the listings of auto marketplaces, AutoTrack.nl and AutoScout24.nl.
