British PropTech company Iamproperty has appointed former EBay U.K. MD and MoneySupermarket chief executive Mark Lewis as group chairman.
Iamproperty operates the Modern Method of Auction (MMA) business and runs an onboarding and conveyancing service.
Lewis (LinkedIn profile) replaces Mark Goddard in the position. Lewis was also previously on the board of retail group John Lewis and remains as a non-executive director at Santander U.K. and Direct Line Group.
“I am impressed by how iamproperty has successfully disrupted the property industry to bring more speed and security for both estate agents and consumers,” said Lewis.
In February, Iamproperty outlined plans to invest in new acquisitions and services that include an improved compliance facility, a property index and a new property surveys offering.
Last month, the company announced investment company Perwyn as its new private equity advisor, replacing Lloyds Development Capital who advised Iamproperty for four years.
Ben Ridgway, co-founder of Iamproperty, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome Mark. He brings a huge raft of experience which is really relevant for the business,” said Ben Ridgway, co-founder of iamproperty. “We’re at a key point with new features and launches coming in the New Year.”
In June, Iamproperty said it had grown its partner agent network by 40% in the last 12 months and now works with over 6,000 estate agency branches across the U.K.
