Egypt-based auto marketplace ContactCars has launched a section dedicated to motorcycles, including scooters.

At the time of writing, ContactCars had 66 two-wheelers, including scooters, listed on its site from 17 different brands.

As well as facilitating the sales of new and used cars, ContactCars also offers customers a number of tools, such as a car valuation service and assistance in securing financing and insurance.

A subsidiary of Contact Financial Holding — a public company in Egypt — ContactCars was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Cairo. In 2021, it re-launched its website and app and acquired Sa3ar, which provides car valuation and auction services.

“With online usage growing tremendously among both consumers and businesses and with the increasing shift to digital by car market players, this acquisition allows us to bolster ContactCars’ market-leading position as well as lay the foundation for additional services going forward. This is just the first step in a series of investments which will be announced in due course,” Contact Financial Holding CEO Said Zater commented at the time.

A year later, Contact Financial Holding participated in the pre-seed funding round of digital auto retailer Carzami.
