Having already partnered on electric car subscriptions, Caixabank — the third-largest financial services provider in Spain by market cap — is now working with France-based car leasing company Arval to launch a used car marketplace, according to AutoReport.es.

Eight unnamed dealer chains were also involved in the project, it added. The marketplace will carry vehicles from these chains, as well as vehicles from Arval’s fleet once their contract period has been completed.

AutoReport notes that “All models sold through the new site can be purchased solely and exclusively through a closed financing operation with CaixaBank,” adding that these financing operations would be closed “completely online” in just a few minutes for the bank’s clients. Credit applications from those who are not clients of the bank will have to be validated by the bank’s staff, either in-person or remotely.

The marketplace is set to launch in the first half of this year.
