Simone Potenza, the outgoing VP of engineering HousingAnywhere

Rental proptech company HousingAnywhere, is looking for a new VP of Engineering, as Simone Potenza is leaving the role.

Potenza announced his departure in a LinkedIn post.

“After more than 7 years since the first time I joined HousingAnywhere, I will be leaving my role as VP of Engineering. I will take a break to enjoy on family and kids and start something new,” he wrote.

Potenza joined HousingAnywhere in January 2019 as team lead and was promoted to director of engineering before becoming VP of engineering.

In the post, he listed his achievements at HousingAnywhere as overseeing a tripling of the size of product development team; integrating acquisitions Studapart and Kamernet and helping HousingAnywhere to expand to more than 70 cities in European and the U.S.

Sweden-based investment company VNV Global, which has a 29.1% stake in HousingAnywhere, valued the latter at $174 million U.S. in its financial reporting for Q3 2023.
